This category of run at the Federal Bank Kochi Marathon welcomes individuals with a range of conditions including physical disabilities, cerebral palsy, intellectual disabilities such as autism and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, visual and hearing impairments, as well as orthopaedic or neurological disorders.
This category will be introduced in the 2024 edition of the Federal Bank Kochi Marathon, aiming to be fully inclusive and welcoming to people with diverse disabilities. #TheSpecialRun is primarily designed as a participatory category, inviting individuals with any form of disability to join and embrace the essence of life through participation and celebration.

Raksha Society For The Care Of Children With Special Needs is a non-profit organisation, established in 1985 that works primarily in the domain of Specially Abled. Its primary office is in Kochi, Kerala. They take care of children and young adults with various disabilities – Cerebral Palsy, Intellectual disabilities - Autism, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity. 90% of their children are from low socio-economic and educationally disadvantaged groups. The society is committed to enhancing the quality of life for children and young adults with disabilities and lending a helping hand to their families by providing individualized programmes, services and supports that will encourage community integration, inclusion and participation and also encourage independence and provide opportunities for making suitable choices and decisions.
